Background
My client is a top 20, UK management and IT consultancy specialising in the central government sector, with a reputation for the quality and effectiveness of its services. Our capabilities range from management consultancy, enterprise transformation / change management, and all aspects of programme & project management, to IS strategy, technical consulting, system design and integration, web-based solution implementation and managed service delivery.
To be successful in this important new role, the successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the disciplines required to operate an effective consultancy, a track record supporting new business development, and the experience to manage and develop consultants.
The principal accountabilities include:
Ensuring that the company has a competitive delivery capability, able of meeting future trends in demand through its own consultants, associates and partners where required
P&L responsibility for a team of consultants to support pre-sales, bid and delivery activities
Contribution to new business development through the creation of winning approaches and techniques to meet client requirements
Establishment of new consultant and solution offerings to the market
Risk management, ensuring adequate delivery and commercial disciplines exist within the company to support further controlled business expansion
Line management responsibility for the provision of effective IT to support the business
You will be degree educated or equivalent, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role will primarily be based in our Central London office but you may be required to travel throughout the UK.
To be successful in this role and to be shortlisted for interview you must have:
Experience within the management consulting space, where perhaps you have managed a team, P&L, utilisation etc
Will have experience of bid management, pre-sales or new business development in a consulting arena
Will have some exposure to the central government management consulting space.
