| Job Description |
My client is a top 20, UK management and IT consultancy, with a reputation for the quality and effectiveness of its services. Our capabilities range from management consultancy, enterprise transformation / change management, and all aspects of programme & project management, to IS strategy, technical consulting, system design and integration, web-based solution implementation and managed service delivery.
The Role
Given the rapid growth of the Company's healthcare consulting business, a new post has been created for Project Assurance across a large number of diverse consulting and system delivery projects in the Health Sector. Most of these projects are for the provision of management and/or technical consultancy on a daily fee rate basis, but the portfolio also includes some Fixed Price contracts for the delivery of specified outputs or systems. Whilst the technical project management function is generally carried out by the lead consultant on each project, the main function of the Project Assurance role will be to monitor and ensure (on behalf of the Business Manager) that all projects run smoothly in terms of commercial, financial (and technical) aspects. This will involve liaison with clients, consultants, sub-contractors (where used), other Healthcare team members and accounting staff. There may be opportunities to undertake part-time fee earning project support and project management roles on selected client contracts (depending upon applicant capability/experience). Another aspect of the role will be involvement in client management, and helping to seek follow-on work and further related business opportunities.
