| Job Description |
My client urgently requires an experienced Credit Controller for a Permanent role in Fife.
The responsibilities of the Credit Controller will be to:
•produce a monthly debt management performance review
•ensure that credit control procedures and policies are applied in a consistent and diligent manner
•pro-actively chase accounts, with a pre-emptive approach to problem customers. Chase items in query resolution through the Customer Services team
•reconciliation of customer accounts
•liaise with Accounts Receivable, Financial Accountants and Business Partners
•perform a risk assessment of new customers with reference to credit reference agencies and Business Partners. Ensure security is in place.
•maintain customer master data
•produce weekly and monthly reports in order to communicate performance achievements and to identify trends and issues.
•measure performance using reports against defined metrics and initiate and review cost/benefit analysis of activities that may enhance this process
Key skills:
• 2+ years experience in Credit Control
• Ability to work to defined goals and targets
• Good knowledge of credit control concepts and procedures
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Initiative, follow up, diplomacy and tenacity
• Sound computer skills
• Good analytical skills
