My client a leading Professional Services company are looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Analyst. This is a permanent role and will be based from their offices in Glasgow.
The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide Server and backend system support to the business. This will include:
- Taking ownership and resolving incidents/problems raised from the service desk.
- Help to develop best practices to ensure all systems are working at their optimum
- Assist in the implementation of new systems
- Act as technical lead on new implementations
- Carry out 3rd line support where necessary
On a technical level the skills required for this role include:
- Detailed knowledge of at least 3 of the following areas; Windows Server, Exchange 2003, SQL Server, IIS, ISA ad SMS
- Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
- Experience of providing multi site support
- Experience of Active Directory including group policy
- Knowledge of a scripting language
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure, in particular Cisco technologies
- Experience of creating clear and comprehensive documentation
Previous experience of a Professional Services or Financial environment would be highly advantageous.
This role will be based in Glasgow but will involve travel to other offices within the UK. Previous experience of working as a member of a small team would be highly advantageous.
Excellent communication skills are also required for this role as their will be a need to work alongside both management and business clients.
