A great opportunity to join one of the largest global providers of innovative mechanical solutions, technology applications and services to the oil and gas sector.
Our client is actively recruiting for a Software Developer to join the existing Edinburgh based team dedicated to the development of software for the oil industry. Job holders will be responsible for development and design of a hosted web based application responsible for managing Formation Testing data and supplying access and data analysis to the company’s clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining and developing software architecture. Analysing software requirements and developing software design. Design, develop and maintain software. Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to support product development. Participate in analysis of customer systems and requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential: Relevant experience of developing commercial software products. Oracle database design and PL/SQL development and/or SQL Server database design and T-SQL development. Experience of developing web applications using ASP.NET with C#. Experience developing technical/engineering applications. ADO.NET.
Preferred: XML, Real Time data acquisition, Windows Forms, Web Services
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Essential: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a scientific or mathematical discipline.
This role will require some overseas travel.
