Application Support Team Leader – Client Reporting and Data Warehouse - Glasgow – Excellent Salary and Benefits
My client is one of the UK's most sought after financial services organisation and employer. They are currently experiencing rapid growth within the Glasgow area and are in need of a full time Application Support Team Leader. The Team leader will manage up to 5 technical specialists who provide second level support for the data warehouse, Client reporting, and MiFID performance Engine software applications and services
The role will require on call cover
Skills/Experience:
Commercial experience in an applications support role at team management level, preferably within the financial services industry. Knowledge of the following is essential.
Professional/technical experience
Good knowledge and understanding of UNIX operating systems
Practical experience in and the application of SQL and Connect Direct
An ability to develop reports using reporting tools such as Business Objects & Actuate is preferable.
Good knowledge of data transformation.
An operational understanding of ETL technologies is an advantage
Skilled and experienced in the system monitoring techniques.
High level of knowledge and experience in system testing techniques and Practices
Experience of Data warehousing would be a distinct advantage
Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, both verbal and written. A hands-on, can-do, proactive attitude is essential. A Logical analytical approach to problem solving. Effective team leader who will also be a team player. Flexible approach and the ability to work under pressure. Effective people manager with a strong customer focus.
