| Job Description |
Based in Edinburgh an Oracle Database Administrator is required on a permanent basis with specifically experience of Streams. Candidates should possess experience of working in a environment comprising of a mixture of Oracle 9.2 and 10.2 across a distributed server landscape on a mix of Sun/Solaris and IBM/AIX platforms. You should also possess strong skills in RMAN, DataGuard and Streams as well as experience of tuning and warehouse design/optimisation. As well as a SAP implementation this client is also going live with a new Oracle BI Warehouse. Ideally the successful candidates will some SAP BASIS skills although this isn't essential. This position does offer the opportunity to get involved in multiple projects and work with numerous technologies. The client is happy to consider employing someone on a contract basis initially.
