This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful, rapidly expanding company that provides online financial applications to an impressive portfolio of clients.
Summary of the role:
This role has the responsibility for direction, maintenance, management and execution of all regression testing within the company. The successful candidate will ensure that team members work efficiently and effectively with business analysts, developers and clients to ensure high quality deployment of rapidly changing code at all times. This role reports to the Head of Product Development, who is responsible for the overall delivery of platform change.
Primary accountabilities:
Develop, own and maintain the testing strategy for the entire company development programme.
Plan testing schedule to facilitate delivery of platform code within agreed project timeframes.
Work with developers, business analysts and test analysts to implement strategies that ensure all deployments are delivered to the highest quality.
Ensure test coverage is sufficient to make informed decisions as to quality and business risk associated with a release.
Co‐ordinate the testing and deployment of each release; owning communication of the status of a release, ensuring that all defects identified are being followed up, resolved and re‐tested.
Proactively develop, document and maintain test processes and procedures; keeping regression testing up to date with system and process changes.
Ensure the interests and progress of the Regression Test team (and testing in general) are advocated and communicated with the wider company.
Proactively develop and mentor all members of the Regression Test team.
Additional information/required skills:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Strong technical ability and hands on testing experience, (able to get involved if required).
Experience with automated testing tools (QTP desirable but by no means essential).
High attention to detail.
Experience at strategic level, implementing new testing structure, processes etc.
Confident, and able to take initiative given client– and delivery‐focused environment.
Independent, self directing and delivery focused working style.
Strong leadership skills, (managing/developing staff).
Excellent organisational, administration, time management and communication skills.
Familiarity with financial products and markets advantageous.
Ideally minimum 2.1 graduate or qualified by relevant experience.
